Deze vakantie heb ik mijn kamer een make-over gegeven. Ik heb, om mijn kamer meer mijn kamer te maken, een aantal DIY's gemaakt. Dit is er een van. De komende week zal ik er nog een paar posten. Ik hoop dat je het leuk vindt!

This holiday season I gave my room a make-over. I also did a few DIY's for a more personalized room. Here is one of them. I hope you enjoy it!!

DIY winter pillows

This week I tried to make my room more winter ready. I added some lights and candles. But there was still too much of summer in my room. So I decided to give my pillows a quick make-over. One side of my pillow is bright (summer) and the other side is more winter like now.
And I tried something new, a tutorial on video! I have to admit, there is still a lot of practise to do. But I hope you like it!

2 weeks until christmas!

Here an other short DIY for this christmas. This time I'll show you how to make this cool unique christmas cards. You can send your family and friends a special christmas message with these cards.

• Water paint
• Brush
• Water
• Blank cards

Make stripes from dark and lighter paint for a cool ombre effect. Write the words in a darker color so it's better readable.

4 weeks until christmas!

It's almost the time of the year when you may decorate your house in christmas style! Evenings are getting darker and days are getting colder. It's time for candels, plaids and hot chocolate! Let's be honest who doesn't LOVE christmas?? Here are some quick christmas teamed DIY's to make your house christmas ready!

What do you need?

Paper trees

• book pages
• cardboard
• glue
• large cocktail sticks

Pin your cocktailstick in a piece of cardboard and secure it with a drip of glue. Cut from the bookpages small and big squares. Pin the squares from big to smaller on your cocktailstick. Pin a small piece of cardboard followed by a square of bookpage. Add a star on top of your tree for the finishing touch.

You can experiment a lot with this DIY. Just try some moves with the wire and hopefully in the end you'll have a christmas tree :)

• snow spray
• ribbon
• jars

Spray the snow on your jar. After that you can draw in the 'snow' with your fingers. I made a heart and wrote the word X-mas. But at this point you can be very creatieve.

I started blogging in English as you can read. That's because more than 50% of my viewers are from other countries than the Netherlands. I think I have a long way to go until my English is as good as yours, english readers.

going green!

Iedereen die mij al een tijdje volgt weet dat ik voor groen en duurzaam ben. Vooral als het gaat om kleding kunnen we nog veel verbeteren. In de kleding industrie is vaak veel mis omtrent arbeidsomstandigheden en milieu wetten. Om zo eerlijk mogelijk met kleding om te gaan probeer ik zelf mijn kleding te maken en zo min mogelijk nieuw te kopen. Klinkt allemaal heel mooi maar ik snap best dat dit heel moeilijk is of zelfs onmogelijk als je niet kunt naaien. Maar er is hoop! Ik liep deze week tegen een leuk concept aan en wil het graag met jullie delen.

Cool toch? Duurzaam, leuk en mooi. En ook nog haalbaar.

Je kunt natuurlijk ook zelf 2e hands kopen of met vriendinnen zussen etc delen/ lenen.

Hungary 2014!

Een week Hongarije met school. Het was geweldig maar kostte me wel veel energie. Ik had daarom ook geen tijd om ook maar iets te bloggen. Ik wil jullie toch een beetje meenemen in het Hongarije avontuur daarom hier een paar foto's van afgelopen week. Enjoy it!!
