Tuinkers!!

Ken je dat nog? In de kleuterklas deden we het voor mijn gevoel elke week. Tuinkers planten! In werkelijkheid heb ik het maar 1 of 2 keer gedaan zei mijn moeder. Maar om dat jeugdsentiment weer naar boven te halen én omdat het voorjaar is, ja we zouden het bijna vergeten met deze temperaturen, heb ik deze week m'n eigen tuinkers gezaaid!



Zoals je kunt lezen was ik erg enthousiast over dit project. Ik had dit project eigenlijk al vorig jaar willen doen maar in het najaar kun je moeilijk aan zaadjes komen. Dus stelde ik het uit tot dit voorjaar. Daarom heb ik extra lang over de uitwerking kunnen nadenken....

In een hartje natuurlijk!! Zo schattig en het makkelijke van dit plantje is dat hij snel groeit,zelfs zonder groene vingers! Het enige wat deze zaadjes nodig hebben zijn watjes en een beetje water.

En na 1 week heb je dan zo'n schattig groen bosje. Maar ja wat dan.... Je kunt het natuurlijk tussen een boterham met kaas doen. Maar door elke dag een beetje op je brood te doen kom je er niet op tijd van af!

Ik kwam dit lekkere recept tegen van een zomerse salade met tuinkers!

Avocado, pijnboompitten, tomaten, spinazie, basilicum en tuinkers!

Ik hoop dat je een beetje geniet van het voorjaar! Tuinkers is trouwens ook heerlijk door je smoothie!

homemade scrub

Een tijdje geleden heb ik kokosolie ontdekt. Ja het is echt een geweldig product! Je kunt er zo veel mee doen en eindeloos variëren. Ik liep al een paar weken met het idee om een homemade scrub te maken en deze maand heb ik het eindelijk gedaan! En het resultaat is geweldig!!

Ik gebruik niet zo vaak een scrub maar nu ik er zelf een heb gemaakt heb ik de neiging om wat vaker scrub te gebruiken. Deze maand heb ik 'm al 2 keer gebruikt. Ik kan nier precies zeggen of deze scrub beter is dan een scrub uit de winkel. Maar je kunt wel precies de geur kiezen die je wilt!

Het recept:

1 cup kokosolie

3 cups suiker

Iets om een geurtje toe te voegen. Ik koos voor pepermunt maar je kunt ook voor vanille gaan.

Het is eigenlijk heel simpel. Smelt de olie en voeg daar de suiker aan toe. Ik heb rietsuiker gebruikt, dit ziet er misschien niet heel smakelijk uit maar door de grote korrel 'scrubt' het meer. Tot slot voeg je je geur toe.

Je kunt ook met dit recept eindeloos variëren. Gebruik bijvoorbeeld olijfolie in plaats van kokosolie. Er is maar 1 regel: 1/4 oli en 3/4 suiker.

Beloftes....

AAAAH!! Mijn laatste post is alweer zoooo lang gelden. Ik baal daar zo van...
Ik weet niet hoe het kan dat ik de laatste tijd mijn vrije momentjes ergens anders voor gebruik. Maar een ding beloof ik hierbij ( in de hoop dat ik me er dan aan hou!) Ik zal vanaf nu minstens 2 keer per week iets gaan posten!

Deze spreuk vond ik wel toepasselijk :-)

Je hebt al een week niets van je laten horen Lydia, dat kan echt niet! Zo ging dat maar door in mijn hoofd tot dat ik er achter kwam dat mijn laatste post nu al bijna 2 weken geleden is. Toen begon ik mij af te vragen waarom. Oei ik lijk wel een filosoof. Ik denk omdat een post schrijven in het Engels gewoon te veel moeite kost. Ja ik zei daar te. Ik ben iemand die alles snel en efficiënt wil doen. Dus als ik een idee heb en daar over wil bloggen dan moet ik niet eerst nog allemaal Engelse woorden willen controleren. Daarom begon ik dingen uit te stellen. Want het is niet zo dat ik deze weken stil gezeten heb. Ik had genoeg dingen om over te bloggen. Maar ik had geen zin om achter mijn laptop te kruipen en een bericht uit mijn vingers te tikken.

Een half jaar geleden ben ik deze blog begonnen om mijn creativiteit kwijt te kunnen en niet om zoveel mogelijk mensen te bereiken. Natuurlijk is het leuk als mensen over de hele wereld je berichten kunnen lezen. Maar ik denk dat het nu gewoon niet haalbaar is om én professionele post neer te zetten én in het Engels te bloggen. Want ik merkte dat ik hele korte zakelijke berichtjes ging schrijven. En dat is naar mijn mening niet het idee van een blog. Ik vind het zelf ook leuker als een blogger iets meer vertelt dan alleen wat er belangrijk is.

En dat is de reden dat jij nu dit bericht in het Nederlands leest. Ik hoop je snel weer terug zie op mijn blog. Want vanaf nu ga ik meer posten! En er komt een nieuwe lay-out aan! Dus reden genoeg om snel weer terug te komen!

DIY no sew cardigan

On youtube you see a lot of quick sewing tutorials. I love watching and making them. I think it's because I'm often too lazy to draw a whole pattern. So here for the lazy people among us a quick tutorial on this lace cardigan. And to say it again there is no sewing involved!!!

DIY floral crown

Blue skies, chirping birds and more and more flowers. Spring is here! And with that a boost of energy to create more! This weekend I made a floral crown. You see them everywhere. A must have for every girl this spring/summer. If you're not that creative you can easily buy one. But making one yourself isn't that hard and you can chose colors that suit your skin and hair best.

You need; wire, (fake) flowers, ribbon and some decoration butterflies.

Start with measuring your head. Make your crown out of 3 layers wire for a good shaped crown.

Then start adding your flowers. Secure your flowers by binding them with your wire on your crown. Continue until you're happy with the shape of your crown.

I started with the white flowers, when I was happy with the shape I added the pink and purple flowers.

Finish with some ribbon and your decoration butterflies.

3000 pins!

Those of you who read my blog for a while now will know that I have an opsession with Pinterest. I love all the ideas I find there and all the beautiful pictures that inspire me every day again. I am an active pinner for more than 2 years now and this is what hours of scrolling behind my laptop has brought me. 26 boards filled with inspiration for every moment of the day, 58 followers and last week I hitted the 3000 pins!!

Enough reason for me to look at all those pins and make a selection for you! I made a selection of my most favorite boards, DIY, FOOD, HOME AND DESIGN and of course FASHION. Have a look and follow me on Pinterest!

I love this board so much. When I'm in a craft mood but I have no inspiration i just take a look at this board and in no time I know what to do. I know there is not enough time to make all these DIY's, every day the list gets longer, but they are all on my list.

Before I go shopping I look at this board and see what is still on my wish list. It inspires me also to make new combinations with the items I already have.

The one thing I shouldn't do is looking at this board when I'm hungry. But I do it all the time...

On Pinterest you see often very easy recpies with unexpected good compinations.

On this board I safe pictures that inspire me for my (far in the) future house. I know, I know all these ideas will never fit into one house but if it was posible I would try them all.
