DIY no sew cardigan

On youtube you see a lot of quick sewing tutorials. I love watching and making them. I think it's because I'm often too lazy to draw a whole pattern. So here for the lazy people among us a quick tutorial on this lace cardigan. And to say it again there is no sewing involved!!!

And during the fotoshoot time for some fun pictures! Thanks Janne for the pictures!

Thanks for watching! Share this video with your friends!

Backwards

Some shirts are beautiful from the front but just avarage at the back side. But why can't the back of a shirt be as beautiful as the front? Because it doesn't matter, you can't see it right? But if the back of my shirt looks as beautiful as the front I would be so much prouder to wear my shirts. Take a look at these pictures and discover which one suits your back the best!

This is the result of a few minutes Pinterst. Let me know if you like these, for me, easy posts. Or do you prefer my own DIY's and sewing projects? Let me know in the comments and share it with your friends. Thank You!

I LOVE tulle

Tulle; [tool ; French tyl] noun,
a thin, fine, machine-made net of acetate, nylon, rayon, or silk.

This is what the dictionary says about tulle. You see it more and more in the fashion world and in stores. You have to have a lot of self-convidence to wear it. But I realy love looking at these skirts from tulle.
Maby a bit overdone for a normal day but for a date night or a party definitely a go! So have a look at these pictures and let them inspire you!

Someday I will find the perfect opportunity to wear something like this. Until than we have to look and dream about it!
For the creatives among us, you can make a tulle skirt very easy by yourselves

See you soon!

Cute feminine fashion essentials

When I feel happy I also want to dress happy. Don't you? And when I feel like I'm having a lazy day I can stay in my onesie all morning and even the whole day. But when I'm dressed lazy I don't get anything done. I think you're allowed to have your own lazy day now and then. Without these days my life wouldn't be complete ;)
But let's get back to the subject. Today I searched the Internet for cute feminine fashion essentionals. When I started to surf I was looking for lace, bows, polka dots and a lot of pastel of course. And here are the results.

polka dots love!

This bag is cute because of its size. But with lace even better!

Pastels and collars are cute, but when combined even cuter!

Lace is always a good idea.

Rompers are cute and feminine, but combined with lace, so good!

Flowers, high waisted shorts, pastels and blouses all cute but combined the cutest ever!

Flats with a bow and a fresh colour!

Just like I said lace is so feminine

Here again lace and a pastel blouse with a collar.

A short with a cute bow.

So to start all days happy, wear some thing cute! Let's see if it works that way!

spring inspiration

Since last week I got the hang of spring trends I guess. Because this post is also a spring post. Bright colours, loose hairstyles and a lot of flowers. Here some inspirational pictures for you.

Spring is.... loose hairstyles with a cute twist. Like a bow or a little flower.

Spring is...painting your nails in cute pastel colours with a touch of gold ot glitter.

Spring is... more flowers in your wardrobe. And more cute sewing projects like dresses and skirts.

I realy want to sew a cute skirt with this pattern.

Here is a typical spring pattern. A flower printed jumpsuit.

Spring is...being more healthy than before.

Go on a bike ride and enjoy the sunshine. I LOVE the flowers in that basket. It gives you a spring feeling every minute you're on your bike.

Spring is...flowers in your house

When I think about spring the first thing that pops into my mind is tulips! I love their bright colours and their beautiful green leaves.

The smell of the hyacinth is also a must have in your house every spring again.

Spring is...new wallpaper unto your wall.
For this spring I would love to have a bright floral wall.

DIY leather skirt

Here I'll show you how to sew a leather skirt. You can also use this tutorial for any other fabric. Because my leather fabric has little flowers in it I made an other layer under the leather one. Otherwise you could see my underwear:-s

You will need:
  • Leather fabric 80 cm
  • Normal black fabric 80 cm
  • piece of elasitc, waist size
  • sewing machine

Tutorial

Measure your waist, and de lengthe you want your skirt to be. Then cut a square from your folded fabric. Your square has to be length of your skirt and waist/2. Now you have 2 squares with the exact same size. Did you succeed?  I hope you did, let's move on to the next step.

Sew the side seams from top to bottom (red lines in this image). And than finish this part by sewing the under seam. (green line in this image) If you did the right thing you have a black little skirt now.

Now you do the same with your leather fabric. So you get 2 seperate skirts.
this is where you'll need your elastic band.
Step 1: Cut a piece of fabric which has the lenght of your waist and the height of your elastic + 1 cm x 2.
Step 2: Fold your elastic in this fabric.
Step 3: Sew the blue line in this image.

Now sew this elastic/ fabric band unto your 2 skirts. Take a look at the foto below, as you can see now you have 1 skirt. I didn't seem the leather fabric below. Becaus it already was pretty much finished.

I find it very hard to explain how to sew a skirt or anything else. Because for me every step is easy and I know what to do without a pattern or instruction. But I hope you understand what I did in this tutorial :-)
If you have any questions left please feel free to ask them. I'm ready to help you out.
